Sunshine Smoothie

I am very attached to my NutriBullet, and start each day with a vibrant and nutritious smoothie. I love mixing things up, and this is my smoothie of the moment.

Filled with fruits, spices and gut healthy goodness.

This is a great way to kickstart your metabolism in the morning, ginger helps to increase your digestive fire, your Agni, and turmeric's anti-inflammatory properties give a digestive relief.

By adding milled flax seeds, we're adding a nice punch of fibre, your microbiome's best friend, keeping your gut happy and healthy.

Coconut water is a fantastic way of staying hydrated, filled with potassium and many other nutrients.

Pineapple adds a zing, and a good old dose of vitamin c, and obvs my number one smoothie ingredient, the banana - adding texture and substance, supporting your hearts health with all of it's many nutritional benefits, and I find really helps keep you fuller for longer.

Recipe (for 1)

  • 1 x banana

  • 1 tbsp Kefir

  • Handful frozen pineapple

  • 1/2 tsp turmeric

  • Tiny grind black pepper (activates the curcumin in the turmeric)

  • 1 tsp milled flaxseeds

  • 1/2 tsp honey

  • Coconut water
